How to grant access to a Google Analytics account GA4

Google Analytics 4 is an essential tool in the world of digital marketing that provides valuable information about the behavior of users on your website. To make the most of this platform, it is essential to know how to grant access to the right people. In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps to grant access in Google Analytics 4.

Before granting access #

Google Analytics has a structure of 3 levels: Account > Property > View.

Account: it Is the highest level and general in Google Analytics. You can represent your company or project in its entirety. Within an account, you can have one or more ‘properties’.

Property: The properties are as containers for web sites or individual applications. For example, if you have several web sites, each is defined as a property. The properties stored data specific to that site.

View: views are different ways of viewing the data within a property. You can use views to filter and analyze data in specific ways. For example, you can have a view that shows data of users of a particular country, and another view that displays data of users that visit a specific page of your site.

In summary, the structure of the account, property and view in Google Analytics helps you organize and analyze data effectively, from a general perspective to more specific details of your web sites or applications. Depending on your needs, and how you want to analyze your data, you can have a view, or several.

What does this mean? That when you want to give access to a new user in Google Analytics, if we have access to the Account level, you will have access to all the information of the Property and Views. However, if you only want to see the data from a View in particular, we can give only access to that information.
